Can I edit text in a PDF with OffPDF?

Yes. The free desktop app can change supported existing text in place, in the document's own font, and add new text. Lines it cannot change safely are left untouched. OffPDF for iPhone also changes existing text with Pro (a one-time purchase); your first Pro result is free. The browser tools on offpdf.com/tools cannot edit page text.

Is editing PDFs with OffPDF free?

In the desktop app, yes: Edit PDF is part of the free, open-source app, with no paid tier. On iPhone, changing existing text is a Pro tool. Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription, and the first Pro result in the app is free.

Are my files uploaded when I edit them?

No. The desktop app edits files on your computer and the iPhone app edits them on your phone. Neither sends your documents to a server.

Will the desktop app overwrite my original PDF?

No. Edit PDF creates a new PDF, checks it, and only then saves it to the folder you chose. The original file is never overwritten.
